Democratic Rep. Al Green lost a member-versus-member primary against Rep. Christian Menefee in Houston, while in Dallas, Rep. Julie Johnson faces a challenge from former Rep. Colin Allred. Several Republican runoffs featuring a President Donald Trump-endorsed candidate and a Gov. Greg Abbott-endorsed candidate are also in play. And the national Democratic Party has piled into the 35th District, a potentially competitive district where a super PAC with Republican links has aired ads supporting a less electable candidate.
