At global gathering, Rubio and Miller urge world to defend against ‘radical leftism’

Counterterrorism experts say the Trump administration’s focus on the far left lacks context about the full range of threats from extremists across the political spectrum.

WASHINGTON — Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned Thursday of a “new wave” of “old evil,” as he spoke to representatives from 67 countries during a U.S.-hosted conference on the “resurgence of far-left terrorism.”
