Authorities in the Dominican Republic have identified 146 of the 221 people who were killed when the roof of a Santo Domingo nightclub collapsed this week.

The national attorney general’s office released the list of names Thursday morning alongside a statement saying teams of forensic doctors and pathologists are still "working tirelessly to perform all the autopsies" and identify the remaining bodies retrieved from the rubble.
Juan Manuel Méndez, director of the country’s Emergency Operations Center, confirmed the latest death toll at a news conference late Thursday morning.
Méndez also said rescue efforts have officially ended after 53 hours of nonstop search.
