One fan’s ‘Odyssey’: A flight from Hawaii, three theaters and eight IMAX showings in 24 hours

Director Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of the Greek epic ‘The Odyssey’ is taking people on their own moviegoing journeys to IMAX theaters nationwide.

LOS ANGELES — It took 20 years for Odysseus to return to his kingdom of Ithaca in Homer’s Greek epic and 91 days for director Christopher Nolan to film his version of the story. Moviegoer Shane Short is just hoping to make it through the next 24 hours.
