The popular granola bars, sold on Amazon and in stores like Target, Whole Foods, Wegmans, CVS, among others, were voluntarily recalled in December due to possible metal contamination. On Feb. 11, the FDA classified the recall as Class II. Per the FDA, a Class II classification is given if a product “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”
The recall included over 2 million total cases of MadeGood granola bars, including flavors like chocolate chip, cookies & creme and mixed berry, among others.
