Heading into the race Saturday night under the bright lights of the glitzy Las Vegas Strip, Lando Norris has taken control of the championship fight after having crushed his rivals over the last two race weekends. While he cannot clinch the title in Sin City, a victory here could mean he has one hand on the trophy.

The affable British driver is 24 points ahead of fellow McLaren driver Oscar Piastri, who led in the standings for most of the season but has faltered lately. Still, Norris said he takes no comfort in the points gap and wants to win every remaining race, vowing not to change his approach.
