Rather than simply sending power front-to-rear through Quattro, the sport differential can actively distribute torque between the rear wheels. When you're accelerating through a corner, it can send additional torque toward the outside rear wheel, helping the car rotate into the turn instead of wanting to push wide. You feel it in everyday driving as a more responsive, planted car, but when you start getting into the throttle on a winding road, the difference becomes obvious. It sharpens turn-in, reduces understeer, and helps pull the S4 through and out of the corner under power. It's one of those pieces of performance technology you don't fully appreciate until you've driven an S4 equipped with it.Then you have the Black Optic Package, which is an absolute must-have with the white exterior. It replaces the ordinary bright exterior treatment with an aggressive black grille, black mirror treatment, black window surrounds, and additional dark exterior accents. Against white paint, the contrast is ridiculous and gives the S4 a much lower, wider, more sinister appearance. It's the difference between an S4 that looks nice and one you turn around to look at after parking it.Inside, the red diamond-stitched sport seats completely set this car off. The additional stitching and sculpted bolsters give the cabin a much more expensive performance-luxury appearance, and these seats even have the massaging function. The red detailing continues onto the steering wheel and door panels, tying the entire interior together instead of making the red seats look like an isolated accent.The heated steering wheel is another option you'll appreciate every winter morning, while Audi's interior ambient lighting completely changes the atmosphere after dark. Combine the lighting with the red interior, brushed metallic interior trim, digital displays, and diamond stitching, and this is an absolutely gorgeous cabin day or night.The Bang & Olufsen premium sound system is everything to an audiophile. You get noticeably more power, cleaner highs, deeper and tighter bass, better separation, and a much larger soundstage than the standard stereo. Turn up a great song and you can actually hear instruments positioned throughout the cabin rather than everything coming from one direction. And even if you're only listening to podcasts or audiobooks, voices sound noticeably more crisp, clean, and easier to understand. Once you've had a great factory stereo, the base system is hard to go back to.We aren't going to over-rep the Premium Plus badge because it isn't the highest S4 trim, but it does bring a tremendous amount of desirable equipment.
