The sister of Timberwolves player Naz Reid was shot and killed in New Jersey on Saturday morning, according to a source close to the situation.

Toraya Reid, 28, was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds near the exit of an apartment building in Jackson Township, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

Jackson Township police officers responded after receiving calls of shots fired, and a 29-year-old man, Shaquille Green, was taken into custody.

Investigators determined that Green was in a romantic relationship with Reid. Both lived in Jackson Township, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced Saturday that Green faces charges, including murder and unlawful possession of a weapon.
