The boy required open-heart surgery after he was hit in the chest by the drone in Orlando, Florida.

In a statement, Sky Elements Drones said that it's working with the FAA and the city of Orlando, Florida, officials to "determine the cause and are committed to establishing a clear picture of what transpired".

The second drone performance of that night was cancelled. The FAA has opened an investigation.
