Country singer Drake White and his wife are mourning the death of their daughter, who died shortly after her birth last week.

Country singer Drake White and his wife are mourning the death of their daughter, who died shortly after her birth last week.

Della Elizabeth White died at 9:12 a.m. Aug. 31, 20 minutes after White's wife, Alex, gave birth.

“We are so thankful for the holy moments God gave us with her,” Alex White captioned a photo of the couple holding the baby girl Sunday on Instagram.

The couple announced their pregnancy in May, telling People magazine that they conceived through in vitro fertilization. The baby girl was due in November.

“Sharing the news with our family and friends has been one of the best parts of the whole pregnancy,” Alex White told the magazine in May. “We love seeing them as excited as we are to welcome a new baby into the world.”
