CloseSeveral people in Ulladulla, New South Wales, filmed the moment a rare tornado came through the town on 3 October.
The Australian Bureau of Meteorology said the phenomenon was caused by "severe" thunderstorms and that it was "very uncommon to see one in such a populated place".
The weather incident caused damage to properties and knocked over some trees, it added.
