The 26-year-old performer, whose real name was Carlito Mitford Jr., died Saturday after he was rushed to Delray Medical Center for treatment following an "incident" at a hotel in Boca Raton, local police said.
So far, the cause of death has not been released. But police have confirmed that Nicole Grikstas, 24, the woman Mitford had been staying with at the Boca Raton Quality Inn along with a toddler, was taken into custody.
Grikstas is being held in a Palm Beach County jail, records show. She lives in Boca Raton.
It was not immediately clear whether the body of Mitford, the “Party at the Cemetery” performer, was still in the custody of the Palm Beach County medical examiner.
