Alex Duong, an actor and comedian known for his work on "Blue Bloods," died Saturday, according to an update on a GoFundMe page started last year to support him and his family during his cancer treatment.

He was 42.

"With the heaviest hearts, we share that our dear Alex passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by love and dear friends. He was comfortable and thankfully out of pain," Hilarie Steele, who started the fundraising page, said in an update.

According to her post, Duong's wife, Christina Duong, and daughter, Everest, "were able to see him last night, and he was alert enough to say goodbye to his little girl, whom he has treasured every moment since the day she was born."

Steele said the family is "devastated, but so grateful for the support, prayers, and generosity you have all shown during this unimaginable time."
