At least two people have been killed and five others have been injured in a Sunday morning shooting in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said officers were on the scene at 6900 Shore Terrace at around 2:30 a.m.

Six men and one woman were shot, NBC affiliate WTHR reported. Two of them were killed and three of them are in critical condition.

Police did not share any details about the incident, which happened in a parking lot, according to WTHR.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking the public to avoid the area.
