Viktor Orbán concedes defeat as Hungary's Tisza Party heads for election win
Peter Magyar's center-right Tisza party is projected to win Hungary's parliamentary election, bringing an end to 16 years of authoritarian rule under Viktor Orbán, a far-right ally of both President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
BUDAPEST, Hungary — Viktor Orbán conceded defeat Sunday after 16 years in power, as Peter Magyar’s center-right Tisza Party was projected to win Hungary’s parliamentary election.

With almost all of the ballots tallied, Tisza is projected to win 138 seats in the 199-seat legislature, Reuters reported, enough for a supermajority.
Speaking to supporters in Budapest, Orbán said the result was "clear" and "painful" for his party.
