Edgehill Fire destroys homes in San Bernardino County as temps soar in California

Named the Edgehill Fire, it ignited Monday at 2:38 p.m. local time, according to Cal Fire. When firefighters arrived on the scene of the fire in the 3300 block of Beverly Drive on Little Mountain, it was only about an acre big and "rapidly moving," San Bernardino County Fire Protection District said.
It was 109 degrees at the time.
"We have dozens of structures that are threatened," the a spokesperson for the fire district said. "We do have structures burned. No number currently."
An evacuation order was issued for people living in parts of San Bernardino County, including on the south side of Ridge Line Drive and on the north side of Edgehill Road, per the fire protection district.
