Ukraine loses its closest ally in Trump’s circle

Lindsey Graham had visited Kyiv and pressed for stronger sanctions on Russian oil in the days before his death. For Ukraine, the loss of an ally with Trump’s ear is a tough blow.

Since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022, Sen. Lindsey Graham had made no fewer than 10 trips to Ukraine, the country’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, noted Sunday.
