Watch: What is postpartum psychosis and why is it central in the Lindsay Clancy trial?
Closing arguments are set to begin on Thursday in the trial of Lindsay Clancy, the Massachusetts mother charged with murdering her three small children at their home in suburban Boston.
In a case that has captivated the American public, Clancy has not disputed that she killed them, but her lawyers argue she should not be held legally responsible because she was suffering from severe mental illness.
Clancy is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the January 2023 deaths. If convicted by a jury, she faces life in prison without parole.
