Actor Dave Coulier, who played Uncle Joey on the beloved sitcom "Full House," has been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, he said Wednesday.
"Five weeks ago I was diagnosed with stage three non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. And in that time, I’ve had three surgeries, I’ve had chemo, I’ve lost a little bit of hair," Coulier, 65, said on NBC’s “TODAY” show.
"I kind of look like a little baby bird now, but it has been a roller coaster ride for sure,” he added.
He said he first had a cold and experienced slight swelling in his groin area that grew rapidly to the size of a golf ball within five days. His doctors decided to do some scans and a biopsy, and he was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma, which he described as “a very aggressive type.”
Coulier said the news was a "gut punch."
