Three people, including one student, have been injured in a shooting at Oklahoma State University’s main campus in Stillwater early Sunday, police said.
The university’s police department responded to Carreker East, a three-story residential hall on campus, around 3:40 a.m. after victims arriving at off-campus locations reported the incident.
All of the victims were being treated at hospitals in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
"Based on the investigation thus far, it appears that there was a large off-campus party at the Payne County Expo Center," police said in the update. "When that party ended around 2:30 a.m., a group of individuals came to campus to have an 'after party.'"
The shots were fired outside Carreker East following "a disagreement between individuals," police said. University and Stillwater police officers arrived "within minutes" and secured the scene.
