The animal, who was seen hopping down the side of the road in Macon County on Tuesday, was eventually caught by her owner with the help of state troopers.
Both sides of the road were closed during the incident, and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said a "two-vehicle crash occurred...involving a kangaroo". But it added that Sheila was not injured.
