Saints QB Derek Carr will miss multiple games with an oblique injury: Reports
Carr was injured in the fourth quarter of the Saints’ 26-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr is expected to miss multiple games with an oblique injury, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.
Carr was injured in the fourth quarter of the Saints’ 26-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. He took a hit on a fourth-down pass that fell incomplete and did not return for the team’s final offensive possession.
Carr has completed 70.3% of his passes for New Orleans (2-3) this season, the second-best mark of his career. He has thrown for eight touchdowns and four interceptions through five weeks and is ranked 10th in the NFL with a 63.6 quarterback rating.
The Saints have struggled after a hot start to the season, however. After it won its first two games, New Orleans has lost three in a row. The offense has cooled off, as well. The Saints scored 91 points in the first two weeks of the season but only 67 over the last three.
“Not good,” Carr said when he was asked how he was feeling after the loss Monday.
