Rush is ready to return to the limelight
Rush is ready to return to the limelight.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers announced Oct. 6 they will headline a tour next year. The “Fifty Something” tour will feature founding members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson celebrating the band’s legacy and honoring late drummer Neil Peart, who died in 2020.
The tour marks the first time Lee and Lifeson will have toured together since Rush “R40 Tour” ended in 2015.
“It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil,” Lee said in a statement announcing the tour.
“A lifetime’s worth of songs that we had put our cumulative hearts and souls into writing, recording and playing together onstage. And so, after all that has gone down since that last show, Alex and I have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we f------miss it, and that it’s time for a celebration of 50-something years of Rush music.
