Cardiac arrest reported at Anne Burrell's home, victim found unresponsive, officials say

A cardiac arrest was reported at celebrity chef Anne Burrell’s home Tuesday, the New York City Fire Department said.
Burrell, the beloved culinary star and host of "Worst Cooks in America," died Tuesday at her home in Brooklyn, her team confirmed to NBC News.
The cause of death is pending an autopsy.
The fire department said, without identifying Burrell, that it responded to Burrell's home at 7:50 a.m. for a report of cardiac arrest and that the person was declared dead upon arrival.
Cardiac arrest, the loss of all heart activity due to irregular heart rhythm, results in stopped breathing and unconsciousness. Without treatment, it can cause death, according to the Mayo Clinic.
