Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson has apologized for making an "insensitive comment" during a live interview on "Thursday Night Football."

Following the Falcons' 29-28 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, Robinson was interviewed on "TNF Nightcap," Amazon Prime Video's postgame show.

During the interview, alongside Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins and tight end Kyle Pitts, analyst Richard Sherman addressed Robinson's strong performance during a specific play.

"They threw it to you in the backfield, you made the first one miss, then legged three people," Sherman said. "And I said, ‘This boy grew up in the backyard.'"

Robinson laughed and said, "Smear the queer, that’s what we do. Smear the queer."
