Perez Hilton’s mother is seeking temporary custody of his children after the celebrity blogger was hospitalized during a mental health crisis at his South Florida home last week.

Natalie F. Guerra-Valdes, an attorney representing the mother, sent a statement to NBC South Florida on Wednesday.
“My main concern and objective, as well as the family’s, is to protect the children and make sure they are safe. We want them to have some sense of normalcy as they begin their journey of healing after the tragic events that occurred last week,” the statement read.
Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, livestreamed what appeared to be self-harm from his Westchester home on Aug. 4.
