As cyclosporiasis cases remain high across the U.S., here’s what you should do and symptoms to watch for if you think you’ve consumed bad lettuce.

This summer’s cyclospora outbreak has triggered worries about contracting a nasty foodborne gastrointestinal illness caused by the microscopic parasite. More than 22,000 people have confirmed or suspected cyclosporiasis, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday.
