Democratic candidate Bobby Pulido’s past tweets include homophobic and racist slurs

Pulido, a well-known Tejano singer who is running for Congress in Texas, referred to someone as a “darkie” in 2015 and used a derogatory term for gay people.

Several social media messages posted roughly a decade ago by Bobby Pulido, who is now running for Congress as a Democrat, used racist and homophobic language, in what is the latest controversy facing the candidate in a competitive Texas district.
