Man who stabbed 2 near New York’s Central Park yelled ‘Allahu Akbar,’ police say
The stabbings occurred about a block apart in Manhattan’s Upper West Side, law enforcement sources said.
A man accused of stabbing two people near Manhattan’s Central Park on Thursday reportedly yelled “Allahu Akbar” during the attacks, the city’s police commissioner said.

The stabbings on the Upper West Side occurred at around 1:31 p.m., and both victims, who are adult men, were stable at a hospital and expected to survive, the New York City Police Department said.
Raul Morales, 51, was arrested, Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said in a statement on X.
