Tornadoes swept through New York and Delaware as severe storms brought torrential rain to the Mid-Atlantic.

CloseTornadoes, heavy rain and powerful winds battered the Northeast, through Atlantic Beach in Long Island, New York and knocked out power across parts of Delaware’s capital. Police say there are no reports of serious injuries in Atlantic Beach.
