Folarin Balogun red card: U.S. striker suspended for Belgium World Cup match

The American striker was shown a red card in the second half of the U.S.-vs.-Bosnia-Herzegovina match and will now have to sit out the round of 16.

The collision between American striker Folarin Balogun and Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Tarik Muharemović in the 61st minute of Wednesday’s World Cup match initially appeared typical enough, the kind of jostling that happens on a near-constant basis throughout a match.
