A woman is in custody after three children were found stabbed inside a burning building in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, according to police

A woman is in custody after three children were found stabbed inside a burning building in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, according to police.

Authorities said police responded to calls of a person with a knife inside a building at approximately 9:12 a.m. in the 3600 block of West Palmer.

Police determined that a 45-year-old woman stabbed a 4-year-old boy, 10-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl inside the building before setting the residence on fire.

According to police, the 4-year-old boy sustained a stab wound to the chest and was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The 4-year-old boy has been identified as Jordan Wallace, whose listed residence was at the building impacted by the fire.
