The artist, who burst onto the hip-hop scene more than a decade ago, was killed by the “combined toxic effects of fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine and promethazine,” the Fulton County medical examiner said in a statement Wednesday.
The manner of death was an accident, according to the medical examiner.
On Sept. 5, the medical examiner said Atlanta’s Grady Memorial Hospital had notified its personnel of the rapper’s death.
Rich Homie Quan, born Dequantes Devontay Lamar, was 33.
