TACOMA ,Wash. -- Police have arrested a suspect in their nearly month-long investigation into a shooting that took the life of a Tacoma man and wounded three others.

Officers were called to an after hours club set up inside a residence in the 3600 block of E. McKinley Avenue just after 2 a.m. on Feb. 6. When officers arrived, they found three people had been shot. Officers attempted life-saving measures on a man later identified as Terrance Paige, but he was declared dead at the scene.

A 28-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were transported to a local hospital while a 34-year-old man was dropped off at a local hospital via private car.

The shooter ran from the scene but detectives were later able to identify their suspect as a 21-year-old man. He was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Pierce County Jail for investigation of second-degree murder and three counts of assault.

Investigators still haven't said what led up to the shooting.

Police say they have responded to gatherings at one of the units in the building in the past for noise complaints. The unit was licensed as a business however its license was suspended in January.

The unit where the shooting occurred is currently being leased as a residence, police say.
