New program tracks endangered whales and warns ships near them

The Coast Guard and others are using a new system to track endangered whales in the Pacific Northwest. It's a kind of early warning traffic control center for ships so they don't get too close to the whales and risk hitting them. NBC News' Anne Thompson reports.
