What we know so far on the Perry High School shooting

A school shooting at Perry High School near Des Moines, Iowa, left multiple people wounded Wednesday, law enforcement officials said.

Officials were called to Perry High School in Iowa on Thursday morning on reports of an active shooter.

Classes were scheduled to start at 7:55 a.m. It was the first day of school after winter break.

Police said a sixth grader was killed and five other people were injured — four students and a school administrator. None of the victims’ names have been shared.
