The Florida governor dropped out of the 2024 presidential race whilst endorsing Donald Trump.

CloseFlorida Governor Ron DeSantis has dropped out of the 2024 presidential race ahead of this week's New Hampshire Republican primary, where he was polling in the single digits.

Mr DeSantis pledged his support for Donald Trump saying that it had "become clear" that the majority of Republican voters want to give Trump another chance.

He also acknowledged "disagreements" with the former president but said he also believed that he is "superior to the current incumbent, Joe Biden".

Mr DeSantis' departure leaves Nikki Haley as Trump's only significant rival.
