A man was arrested after allegedly trying to open the door of a taxiing JetBlue flight at Boston’s Logan International Airport.
A man was arrested after allegedly trying to open the door of a taxiing JetBlue flight at Boston’s Logan International Airport.
The incident occurred Tuesday around 7:30 p.m. on a flight headed toward San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The passenger, who has not been identified, opened the emergency exit door and deployed the slide, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.
JetBlue said the man remained on the flight and the Massachusetts State Police were called to assist. The flight was delayed because of the incident, a spokesperson for the airline company said.
One passenger said the incident happened after an apparent argument between the man and his girlfriend, NBC Boston reported.
