Cutler, 41, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a handgun under the influence, failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision and implied consent, per a news release.
Officers responded to Bridge Street and 2nd Avenue north following a report of a crash at around 5 p.m., according to an affidavit from Williamson County. On the scene, the driver of a GMC told them that a man driving a White Ram truck had rear-ended his vehicle and offered $2,000 if he didn't call the police before attempting to flee.
An officer spoke to Cutler, who says he allegedly smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes, was staggering, swaying and slurred his words, per the affidavit. Cutler also refused to perform a standardized field sobriety test.
Cutler was taken into custody by police and a blood search warrant was obtained at a nearby medical center. During a search of Cutler's car, a rifle was allegedly found in the backset and a loaded handgun was found in the center console.
