The BBC's Carl Nasman spoke to people about how they felt as they returned to the street where the attack took place.
Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove a truck through Bourbon Street before he was shot dead by officers in the early hours of 1 January, killing 14 people.
At least 39 people are still being treated at hospitals in the area, according to BBC's US partner CBS.
