CloseA secretive US Army unit was honoured on Thursday, 80 years after their special effects saved tens of thousands of lives during World War Two. The group received the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest honour from the US Congress.

The BBC spoke to surviving veterans and their families to hear how these artists contributed to the war with creativity, not violence.
