Two people — a woman and a teenage boy — were killed, and 12 others were shot and wounded in the gunfire that occurred around 11:30 p.m., officials have said.

The police department did not identify the juvenile boy or release his age. He was arrested Friday on one count of capital murder, nine counts of first-degree assault, and three counts of second-degree assault, the department said in the caption of a video posted to Facebook.

A mass shooting in downtown Montgomery, Ala., left two people dead and a dozen others injured, on Saturday.WSFAAuthorities have identified the two people fatally shot as 17-year-old Jeremiah Morris and a 43-year-old Shalanda Williams.

There was more than one shooter, Montgomery Police Chief Jim Graboys told reporters after the incident.
