Lady Gaga had to cancel her Miami concert on Wednesday night due to a vocal cord strain that posed "significant risk" to her voice if she performed live, the pop star said on her Instagram story.
In her post, Gaga said her team is trying to reschedule the show "as quickly as possible." No information on a rescheduled date was available as of Thursday morning.
The "Abracadabra" singer has been traversing the U.S. on her "Mayhem Ball" tour, which began on July 16 in Las Vegas. She performed in Miami at the Kaseya Center on Sunday and Monday before canceling Wednesday's show.
Gaga said she was "so so sorry" to postpone the Wednesday concert.
She explained that during rehearsal on Tuesday and Wednesday, her voice was "extremely strained" and that both her doctor and her vocal coach advised her to skip the concert "because of the risk it poses."
