The front and rear bumpers are designed more aggressively and are much more aesthetically pleasing on the Lux models. The aluminum running boards help tie in and complete the look. the X5 model in general looks better with the running boards. Some people need them as well so they play two roles. It also has tinted windows 2 keys and great tires. The interior and the options of this X5 are another reason this particular X5 is special. The hardest to find option for the X5 model is the 3rd-row seat package which this one does have. Its nice to not have to take two cars all the time when the kids bring their friends along or family comes in to visit. The third row creates great value and typically sell for $1000 to $1500 more than an X5 without the 3rd row. For us too.This X5 also has the connected drive safety system. This gives you a bunch of safety options which nowadays people are really starting to appreciate. The lane departure lane keep assist and the forward vehicle detection may save you from a major or small accident one day.
