Driver in crash that killed Vikings rookie Khyree Jackson charged with DUI, vehicular manslaughter

A Maryland woman was arrested and charged with 13 counts, including negligent vehicular manslaughter, negligent homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol, following the July 6 crash that left Minnesota Vikings rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson and two others dead.

Cori Clingman was accused of “traveling at a high rate of speed” when she allegedly caused the three-car crash in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Clingman and two other passengers in her car were not injured, state police said in a July news release.

Clingman, of Upper Marlboro, attempted to change lanes and struck a maroon Dodge Charger before hitting a Chevrolet Impala, according to police. The force of the crash caused the Charger to travel off the road and hit multiple tree stumps before coming to a stop.

Jackson, 24, was in the front passenger seat of the Charger and died at the scene, police said. Isaiah Hazel, 23, the driver, was also pronounced dead at the scene. A third person, Anthony Lytton, 24, was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The driver of the Impala was uninjured and refused medical treatment at the scene.
