Climbers rescued from icy Italian mountain - BBC News

The climbers got stuck 2,300m (7,500ft) up Monte Mondolè on Saturday.

CloseThree climbers were rescued after getting stuck 2,300m (7,500ft) up Italy's Monte Mondolè on Saturday morning.

Rescuers from Italy's fire service took a helicopter, and then climbed using ice axes, to reach the frozen gully where the climbers were.

They were recovered in good health, the fire service told the BBC.
