"The Boys" is a satirical show about individuals with superpowers who abuse their abilities, and the CIA-sponsored vigilante group tasked with taking them down.

The fourth season of the show ended Wednesday with a finale originally titled "Assassination Run." The episode features an assassination plot and political violence as a fictional version of the United States descends into martial law.

The title of the episode was changed to "Season Four Finale" on Amazon Prime. It opens with a disclaimer condemning "real-world violence of any kind."

"This episode contains scenes of fictional political violence," the message reads. "Any similarities to recent events are completely coincidental and unintentional."
