The standard quattro all-wheel drive system found on these S4 and S5's can change the ratio of torque distributed to the front and rear wheels of the car, depending on the available traction. When the rear wheels slip, more power is sent to the front wheels, and vice versa. The Sport Differential works in a similar manner, except that it uses torque vectoring to change the torque distribution in the rear axle from side to side. In a corner, more power is sent to the outside rear wheel, to help push the car around the corner. The Sport Differential eliminates understeer (the front end of the car pushing wide), and helps rotate the car. The system works with the traction control and stability control systems to keep the car on the proper path; just faster and more controlled. The differential also works with Audis drive select system, allowing you to change the characteristics of the engine, transmission, suspension, and steering, as well as the Sport Differential; which again is equipped on this rare package S4. The sports diff package is everything to us.They went to the turbo engines after this generation S4 (2017) to help with gas mileage, but it doesn't hold a torch to the tunability and reliability of the supercharged 3.0-liter engine. The 3.0 supercharged engines have great reviews and they have been time tested unlike the newer turbo six's in the '17 and newer S4's. These Audi S4s are second to none regarding reliability, curb appeal, AWD, and a fantastic driving experience all in one. The instant torque and power from the supercharger is more than noticeable and when it comes to reliability the supercharged 6 blows the turbo out of the water. The interior has high-end napa-grade leather, typically only in Audi S models. The flat bottom steering wheel, the carbon accents, and S logo's everywhere give the interior a true sport/luxury feel. This one also comes with the Bang & Olufsen stereo package. Its an option that doesn't seem that important but its totally different speakers and a much better amplifier. Even talk radio or podcasts sound better. Its not even a comparison when playing music though. The bass is strong and powerful and the mids and treble are loud and crisp. Every note hits perfectly with the B & O stereo. When you step on the gas you can hear the perfect exhaust tone. Its one of our favorites for sure. German tuning to perfection!These are really hard to find when you have certain criteria.
