North Carolina students send their Eagles super fan teacher to the Super Bowl
Dozens of students at Davidson Day School near Charlotte came together to sing “Fly Eagles Fly” to their Eagles super fan English teacher, Steve McGill. But their musical number wasn’t the only surprise, the students also raised nearly $9,000 to send him to the Super Bowl. NBC News’ Jose Diaz-Balart speaks with Mr. Mcgill to get his reaction and to students Natalie Munro and Grace Mitchell to hear why they decided to surprise him.
