A Montana man accused of fatally shooting four people at a bar has been captured after a weeklong manhunt, authorities said Friday.
Michael Paul Brown, 45, was taken into custody around 2 p.m. Friday near a bar west of Anaconda, Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen told reporters.
"It’s a good day," he said. "We got the man."
More than 200 law enforcement officers were involved in the manhunt, he said, adding that Brown was "flushed out" of an area where authorities had focused their efforts.
Brown had a weapon at the time, Knudsen said, though he did not provide additional details. He attributed the apprehension to citizen tips and quick work from law enforcement.
